Angela Morgan (Primary Teacher)

My indoctrination into the Montessori philosophy began over forty years ago when, as a precocious two and a half year old, I entered my first Montessori classroom and remained through my elementary school years. I went on to earn an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Randolph-Macon College and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Trinity College. I am Montessori certified at the Primary and Elementary levels and have enjoyed teaching Montessori for over twenty years now, in both private and public school settings. I was named APS Teacher of the Year in 2019.  Outside of school, I have two children of my own: Connor, 19 and Dylan, 16. I enjoy cooking a wide variety of foods, spending time with my family and cheering on the Washington Capitals. I truly believe in Dr. Montessori’s words: “Whoever touches the life of the child touches the most sensitive point of a whole which has roots in the most distant past and climbs toward the infinite future. All our handling of the child will bear fruit, not only in the moment but in the man/woman he/she is destined to become.”
