Vicki Stephens (Lower Elementary Teacher)

I grew up in Nashville, Tennessee where I received my Bachelor’s degree from David Lipscomb University, majoring in elementary education. I received my Master’s degree in special education from Vanderbilt University. I’m a certified Montessori teacher, and I’ve taught for over twenty years. Before becoming a Montessori teacher, I was a special education teacher working with third through sixth graders; a kindergarten enrichment teacher; a preschool teacher; and a third-grade teacher. I have taught in Fairfax County Public Schools, Loudoun County Public Schools, and various private schools. Once I became a Montessori teacher, I taught for eight years at Village Montessori School in Loudoun County. For the first two of those years, I taught lower elementary and, each year thereafter, I taught both lower and upper elementary. I have lived in Northern Virginia for over thirty years. My husband, Peter, and I have been married for twenty-eight years. We have two children. My daughter, Bethany, works as a graphic designer in Tysons Corner and my son, Warren is in the Army, stationed at Fort Gordon in Georgia.
