Amie Flowers Shakespeare is excited to begin her 9th year of teaching with APS and 8th year working with MPSA (formerly Drew Model) colleagues. Amie has both Bachelors and Masters degrees in Music with an emphasis in vocal performance, history and literature. Ignited by the convergence of Arts and Education, Amie worked in Operations and Outreach for regional Arts organizations in the United States and Australia before receiving her PK-12 postgraduate license in vocal and choral music education. For fun, Amie enjoys gardening, traveling, museuming and musiking with adults and family; always learning, you will find her enthusiastically engaged in Harvard Graduate School of Education initiatives with the DCPZ (DC-Project Zero) network and serving as a George Washington University Graduate School’s Museum Education site supervisor.
